Editorial policy
Finance professionals rely on accurate information. This page explains how we research, write, check and update everything on FinTalk with AI.
Who is responsible
All content is overseen by Rohit Gopalani, CA. He approves every article before it is published and is responsible for what appears on the site.
How articles are researched
- Before writing, we review what already exists on the topic so our article adds something more practical or more accurate.
- Tax, regulatory and fund-related statements are checked against current official sources: legislation, regulator and tax authority websites, and professional body publications. These sources are listed at the end of each article.
- When we describe a tool, we use the tool ourselves where possible and check the vendor’s current documentation and pricing. Prices and features carry the date we checked them.
- We do not quote search volumes, market sizes or statistics unless we can name the source.
How we use AI
We use AI tools, including Claude, to help with research, outlines and first drafts. This is how we work, and it is also what this site is about. AI is never the final word:
- A person checks every fact, figure, rule and citation produced with AI help.
- AI-generated case law, section numbers or statistics are never published unless verified against the original source.
- Practitioner examples come from real experience, with client details removed or changed. We never use real client data in AI tools to produce our content.
Independence
- No company pays for coverage, rankings or positive reviews.
- Where we use affiliate links, we say so on the article and in our Affiliate Disclosure. Affiliate arrangements do not affect our verdicts.
- Our review method is published on How We Test AI Tools.
Country-specific content
Our readers practise in many countries. Each article states which country or countries a rule applies to. Where practice differs, we say so rather than generalising.
Updates
AI tools and professional rules change quickly. We review key articles regularly and whenever a significant change happens. Each article shows its published date and, where changed, its “Updated on” date.
Corrections
If you spot an error, please tell us. We fix factual errors promptly. Where a correction changes the meaning of advice in an article, we add a short note at the end saying what changed and when.
Not professional advice
Our content is general information to help professionals work with AI tools. It is not tax, legal, investment or accounting advice for any specific situation. See our Disclaimer.
